"Nanala" on Wheels
2026
3D Modeling Exercise
Summer Semester 2026 – Foundations of Media Informatics II, University of Bremen
Created using Blender
Modeling task ‘X-on-Wheels’, where X had to begin with the first letter of my name.
The animation and interactive game will be further developed over the course of the semester.
Many people love Nutella on bread—I do as well, although I no longer eat it due to its problematic use of palm oil. Still, I find it very tasty, and unfortunately no alternative quite compares.
Since the task required modeling an object on wheels starting with the letter ‘N’, I came up with the idea of a rolling Nutella jar that I could chase with a giant knife and then scoop from. Due to copyright reasons, I renamed it “Nanala.” The jar is designed to move along the street on Segway-like wheels.
For the sketches, I drew the jar both with and without a lid. Normally, it rolls with the lid closed to keep insects out and preserve the contents. However, if the knife hits the exact center of the lid—the “50 g gratis” label—the lid opens, allowing a portion of Nanala to be scooped out.
